As a veterinarian and researcher, Dr. Clayton's studies on the biomechanics of equine gait have focused on sport horses, including dressage and jumping horses. Active in the sport of dressage at the highest levels, Dr. Clayton is a certified equestrian coach in both the UK and Canada. She has been a member of the Canadian National Coaching Committee for the sports of dressage, jumping and eventing, and has been involved in developing the coaching program at the highest levels.
Susan works with clients from various equestrian disciplines with a special focus on massage for endurance horses. She worked as an equine massage therapist at the World Endurance Championships for the United States Equestrian Team in '94 and '96 and the Swiss National Team in '98. An enthusiastic teacher and lecturer, Susan offers lively clinics for horse owners and equine professionals. She heads the equine massage certification program at the Mascot Ausbildungszentrum in Neuwilen, Switzerland, and is currently writing an equine acupressure book for horse owners.
Ruth began her Myofascial Release education in 1987, has taken all of the John Barnes MFR courses (including equine), and is presently a Senior Instructor/Coordinator and Co-lecturer for John Barnes, having taught over 100 courses for him. Ruth began working with horses in 1990 and now specializes in the equine population. She is the owner of the Equine Therapeutic Center, Inc., now based at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, where she provides therapy for horse and rider.
Gayle has written many articles and is a frequent guest lecturer at international conventions. Included in her lengthy list of assignments have been appearances at Equitana and the AERC convention. Her lectures focus on the area of equine exercise physiology, including the effects of electrolytes and heat stress on conditioning. She was also instrumental in developing and scientifically testing a new electrolyte product for Buckeye Nutrition, called Perform'N Win, which is now commercially available.
On finishing veterinary school in 1980, he took a year and a half off to travel in Europe and work on the Atlas of Bovine Anatomy. He then worked for a mixed veterinary practice in Mollala, Oregon, for a couple of years while finishing the bovine book. In 1984, he took off for Mexico to start a Canine Anatomy book. He then moved to CSU in Ft. Collins, Colorado, to enter a Master's program in anatomy with an emphysis on medical illustration - perfect. While at CSU, Chris was put in charge of the undergraduate veterinary anatomy class, while at the same time developing the "Anatomy of Domestic Animals". It received The Award of Excellence by the Medical illustrators of America. Dr. Pasquini had now found a new passion - teaching. When a professor was needed to take over a class he was asked to fill in, teaching veterinary anatomy. Hooked on teaching, he then went to Ross University on St. Kitts Island to teach Anatomy to the veterinary students. While in St. Kitts, he received 7 teaching awards and became the Associate Dean of Students
Since then, Dr. Pasquini has taught anatomy at Oregon State University, where, after less than two years, he received the prestigious Norden Award for Distinguished Teaching. Recently, Dr. Pasquini went to Granada where he taught Veterinary Anatomy at the new veterinary school at St. George's University.
Todd has lectured to audiences of horse owners, Veterinarians and other equine dentists across North America, in the United Kingdom and Europe. He is currently an Executive Director for the World Wide Association of Equine Dentistry. Todd operates two consulting companies and provides services to horse owners and Veterinarians in Canada and the Pacific North West in the United States.
In addition to providing consultation services, Mr. Williams also has designed several instruments and helped to develop new techniques in the field of equine dentistry. Todd provides internships to qualified individuals to help advance their training and skill level and continues to help direct the affairs of the World Wide Association of Equine Dentistry.
